LOCATION
Noosa Springs is located in Noosa Heads, a much-loved area of the Sunshine Coast about an hour and 45 minutes from Brisbane. I actually attended the first ever wedding held here and loved it! The venue boasts 103 hectares of manicured grounds with views of Lake Weyba, Mount Cooroy and the Sunshine Coast Hinterland.
And the golf green is set around bushland, waterways and a large, picturesque lake – all of which create wonderful photo opportunities. (See their photo gallery for proof!)

Ceremony and reception
Lake Weyba
For an intimate outdoor wedding, you must consider this stunning location on the banks of Lake Weyba. It’s completely private and can fit 30 guests.
Don’t worry about the weather – the venue has a plan B in the form of a stunning indoor option overlooking the golf course.
The Plateau
This is a popular location for an outdoor wedding ceremony at Noosa Springs. This private lawn sits on a hill surrounded by lush bushland and landscaped gardens, and overlooking the water. On a gorgeous Queensland day, it’s the dream place to be married.
Plantation Room
This magnificent banquet room can easily cater for hundreds of people if your wedding is a big one! But it can also be divided to create a smaller room if necessary. It also has a private terrace overlooking the golf course.
Sunset Lounge
This smaller room is up a level, so it looks out over the golf course, which is quite a distracting view! It has a private bar, so it’s ideal for pre-wedding drinks. If you have a small number of guests, you may be able to have your reception here.
And if the weather threatens your outdoor ceremony, this is the perfect room to move to.

Catering
You’ll feel very comfortable putting your dinner plans in the hands of Noosa Springs’ catering team. They have won many awards, including Best Function/Convention Centre Caterer, Sunshine Coast. I’ve attended many weddings here and have always loved the food.
Photo opportunities
There are plenty of opportunities for beautiful photos around the grounds, especially as the afternoon turns to evening and the sunset stretches across the lake and the golfing green.
While you’re having photos taken, your guests can have pre-dinner drinks and perhaps take some golf buggies out to explore the grounds.
Accommodation
You and your guests don’t have to leave the grounds after the wedding. The grounds contain one and two-bedroom apartments, many of which overlook the golf course and manicured gardens.
If you want to make a weekend of it, you and your guests can check out the leisure activities, including championship golf, world class spa treatments, high teas, tennis, fitness and swimming.
