Branell Homestead is a wedding venue located in Laidley, Queensland, Australia. It is a historic homestead restored and converted into a popular wedding and events venue.
The property is set on 80 acres of farmland and features a variety of indoor and outdoor spaces for ceremonies and receptions. The homestead has a rustic and charming feel, with original wooden floors, exposed beams, and antique furnishings. It can accommodate up to 100 guests for a sit-down reception or 200 for a cocktail-style event.
In addition to the homestead, Branell Homestead also has several outdoor locations for ceremonies and receptions. These include a stunning ceremony lawn overlooking the countryside, a vineyard, a rustic barn, and a covered outdoor terrace
Accommodation at Branell Homestead
Branell Homestead also offers accommodation for wedding guests, including six self-contained cabins and a three-bedroom cottage. Each cabin has kitchen facilities, private bathrooms, and outdoor verandas with views of the surrounding countryside.
One of the accommodation options at Branell Homestead is the Bell Tents. These tents are ideal for a cozy, relaxed stay with loved ones after a wedding celebration. Equipped with solar-powered lighting, they also feature an outdoor fireplace and a rustic swing, making perfect photo opportunities during your stay. Moreover, these tents are just 10 metres from the reception building.

Wedding Videography at Branell Homestead
I’ve been coming to Branell Homestead since 2016. As a wedding videographer, there are still plenty of amazing places for me to create my unique videos and take advantage of all the natural beauty this location has in store! The rolling hills with their breathtaking views make it such an easy spot. This venue is an all in one venue where you never have to leave. It makes wedding videography very easy. making the day enjoyable for everyone
Tegan & Jack
The start of 2021 ushered in an unforgettable event: the EPIC wedding celebration of Teagan and Jack! Recommended to capture this special day by Mikaylah and Nick – whose own weddings I had shot a few years prior – it was my honour to bear witness at Branell Homestead, one spot that never fails to amaze me with its lush greenery thanks to recent flooding from much-needed rainfall. With warm weather on our side, all manner of joy abounds as we watch two lovely souls unite as one through marriage!
The Bridal Party
On the big day of Teagan and Jack’s wedding, their bridal party was a beautiful mix of friends and family. Though each one came from different background, they all gathered as one to help them celebrate in style! They shared laughs during the ceremony while emotions ran high – it seemed like everyone had come together just for this momentous occasion, with sincere joy lighting up every face around them. As if fate brought these special people into place beside the happy couple, love sparkled through this unique gathering that made everything even more unforgettable.
And so we end up here at the highlight video. the music perfectly matches a film full of friendship, love, humour and emotion….and some wicked dancing! ENJOY

How is Branell Homestead looking for 2023?
During my most recent visit to Branell Homestead in early 2021, it was apparent that the venue had seen several weddings and was starting to show signs of wear. However, the owners were actively working on revamping and improving the site. Upon my return for Rylee & Izaya wedding in late November 2022, I was pleased to see that the efforts had paid off – the grounds were lush and green. The addition of accommodations has also elevated the venue, giving guests a more comfortable experience while feeling secluded enough to enjoy their special day with loved ones. Overall, Branell Homestead is now an excellent choice for a countryside wedding with ample amenities and picturesque surroundings

Phil captured our wedding in November, 2023 at Branell Homestead in QLD. We couldn't be happier with the results! Phil went well out of his way to capture some amazing footage, ensuring we can relive our special day for the rest of our lives. We also received our package much earlier than expected.
