Mount Mee Wedding Venues It’s a beautiful area for a wedding, with its scenic views and natural surroundings providing a picturesque backdrop for the event. However, whether or not it is a good area for a wedding would depend on various factors, such as the size of the wedding party, the desired venue, and the availability of accommodation and services.
A few venues in the area cater to weddings, such as Ocean View Estates Winery and Glengariff Historic Estate, which offer beautiful outdoor settings and indoor reception areas. These venues can provide catering, accommodation, and other services to simplify the wedding planning process.
However, it is worth noting that Mount Mee is a remote location, and some of the venues and accommodation options may be limited. Additionally, the weather in the area can be unpredictable, and it is essential to have contingency plans in case of inclement weather.

The Morton Bay region
I’ve spent a lot of time shooting weddings and engagement shoots in this area. Some venues, unfortunately, are no longer open, and they are not taking booking which is a shame. Glengariff is closed, but I have included them in the post. There is a potential in the future if these venues reopen.

Glengariff Historic Estate
Glengariff Historic Estate is a wedding and event venue located in Mount Mee, Queensland, Australia. The estate is situated on a picturesque 230-acre property that offers stunning views of the surrounding countryside.

Brookhurst Farm, Mount Mee
Brockhurst Farm is a rural retreat located in Mount Mee, Queensland, Australia. The farm is situated on a picturesque 22-acre property that offers stunning views of the surrounding countryside.
In addition to its ceremony and reception spaces, Brockhurst Farm offers a range of accommodation options for wedding parties and guests. The farm has two large cottages that can accommodate up to 14 people each, as well as a variety of other accommodation options

Kookaburra Homestead Mount Mee
Kookaburra homestead. He’s a beautiful old Queenslander. Very close to Ocean View. But the wedding I filmed there was back in 2018. Unfortunately, since then, I believe the House was sold and is no longer a wedding venue. It is unfortunate because it would have rivalled something like Gabbinbar homestead in Toowoomba. It would have been a fantastic permanent addition to this area if it had continued to be a wedding venue.
Although this remains one of my favourite wedding films, where the groom did actually forget the rings.
Ocean View Estate Winery

Henzells Chapel, Mt Pleasant
Henzells Chapel, Mt Pleasant, is a historic chapel located in Mount Pleasant, Queensland, Australia. This chapel is not far from Mount Me, so I thought I would include it. The chapel was built in 1924 by the Henzell family, who were early settlers in the area, and it is one of the oldest buildings in the region.
The chapel is constructed in the Gothic Revival style and features beautiful stained-glass windows, ornate woodwork, and a soaring ceiling. The interior of the chapel is simple yet elegant, with wooden pews and an altar at the front of the room.
Today, Henzells Chapel is used primarily as a wedding venue and is known for its beautiful setting and historic charm. The chapel is surrounded by lush gardens and offers stunning views of the surrounding countryside, making it a popular destination for couples looking for a picturesque and romantic wedding venue.
one thing to not here is you cannot fly a drone over the Chaple due to its close proximity to neighbouring house.

The Gantry
The Gantry is a historic site located within the D’Aguilar National Park, which is a large protected area that encompasses over 36,000 hectares of forested hills and valleys. It was originally built in the early 20th century as a sawmill and has since been restored as an interpretive site that showcases the history of the timber industry in the area.
Today, The Gantry is a popular destination for visitors to the D’Aguilar National Park, and it features a range of interpretive displays and walking trails that explore the history and ecology of the area.
You do have the sheds at the Gantry, which potentially could be used as a wedding, but really I think this is a photo/video shoot destination because it is a stunning area. But you do need a four-wheel drive to get around. Brockhurst Farm is the closest venue to the Gantry
