Beautiful grounds, with elegant suroundings
I had the opportunity to film Dana and Guy’s wedding at Newstead House in Brisbane, a beautiful estate on the river’s banks. Although I had filmed other weddings at the Rotonda, this was my first time filming there by the house itself. The couple chose to have their intimate ceremony at the house and then proceeded to have their reception at Portside. It was a very relaxed day full of love which shone through in their wedding film.
Dana & Guys Teaser Trailer
When it comes to creating teaser trailers, I’m not one to give away too much. I prefer to just tease the audience with snippets and images, so that when the full film is ready, they have expectations of something amazing. My main goal is always to build anticipation and excitement for the highlight films that my clients receive about six weeks after their wedding.
The Highlight Reel at Newstead House and Portside Brisbane
On a stunning spring afternoon at Newstead House, Dana and Guy exchanged their heartfelt wedding vows. After filming many weddings in my career, I rarely get emotional when editing the highlight film. However, when Guy began to tear up during Dana’s vows, it hit me hard and filled me with emotion. Through this short video, I’ve managed to capture Dana and Guy’s love
Wedding videography
You have plenty of options for your video shoot. You don’t need to host it at Newstead House, but if you are having the ceremony outside in front or inside on one floor, then that’s what we recommend! The grounds provide beautiful scenery, and there is so much else going around. But if you are having your ceremony there, you can walk inside the house, around the balconies and enjoy some great views. It is also a great spot to enjoy golden hour as the sun gently sets behind the trees. And I have been here for many video shoots, from other weddings, just coming to the park to enjoy photos and videos.
